When you talk about greatness in disc golf, the conversation starts and often ends with Ken Climo. You could say Climo didn’t just raise the bar, he built it.

18 and Then Some
Widely referred to as simply, “The Champ”, Climo holds 18 MPO PDGA Major titles, a record that remains untouched. That includes 12 World Championships and six more Major victories that cemented his place at the top of the sport’s all-time list. Later in his career, Climo also picked up an additional 3 PDGA Master World Championships.

During the majority of Climo’s era of domination, there was often only one PDGA pro Major per year.

Major Season
As fans and players gather in the wake of last week’s Champion’s Cup, a premier PDGA Pro Major, it’s impossible not to reflect on how Ken helped shape what it means to play for a championship. This weekend, the PDGA Major circuit continues with the age-protected Tim Selinske United States Masters Championships in New Mexico—Selinske, a PDGA Hall of Famer, was a tireless promoter of disc sports who passed away in 2009.

The Major Line Plastic
One of the first Climo Disc Golf stock plastic offerings actually pays homage to “The Majors”. The Major Line plastic brings out the best. This is visually beautiful; with its opaque and vibrant color these discs feature a glossy finish that does not compromise grip. It’s the type of top-end, premium plastic that disc golfers demand. In the hand, it offers a softer feel that allows you to really dig in and generate a lot of spin.

More Majors
Climo is currently dealing with an injury that keeps him from playing multiple days in a row. He's returned to competition in 2025, but has been limited to 1 round PDGA Flex Start C-Tiers. Here's to hoping The Champ can get back Major competition sooner than later!
