We're going to definitively settle an age old debate right here, right now. Where is the best coast? Is it the West Coast, East Coast or maybe the Third Coast? While the aforementioned are all great in their own right, we've got a different Coast in mind.
Of course with Ken Climo being a lifelong Clearwater, FL resident we’re naturally partial to the Florida Coast and it’s beautiful white-sand beaches. But that is not the right answer either. The fact is the best coast can't be found on a map. Introducing the new Climo Prototype Coast. 
The Champ’s Favorite Coast
When the time came to talk about his next disc, Climo knew exactly what he wanted. His request for the 6th mold in the Climo Disc Golf lineup was simple. He was looking for the following:

A slightly faster mid range to pair with the Belleair
-
Torque resistant, but not too overstable
-
Excellent glide
-
A slight dome
And what The Champ wants, the Champ gets when it comes to new Climo Disc Golf molds. The Coast was created and it checked all of the requirements Ken had outlined he wanted from the new mold. From there, it was love at first flight between Ken and the Coast.
A Fairway or Mid?
No, this isn’t a hypothetical question. When you pick up a speed 6 disc you can just tell if it leans towards being a fairway or mid. The Coast feels like a fast mid, just as Climo had hoped for. Although after giving it a toss, you may want to reconsider calling it a mid. The Coast just wants to…coast.
In all seriousness, the Coast really bridges the gap between the speed 5 Belleair and Speed 7 Streak. It also brings some flight neutrality to the Climo lineup. With the estimated flight numbers of 6|6|-1|1 the Coast is an easy flier. It wasn’t built to fight big headwinds, but more so to be put on lines and hold ‘em forever.
Which Way to the Coast
The Test Flight Coast will be released in Victory Line (plastic) on Friday, May 8th on the Climo Disc Golf Store. This is no regular Victory Line, as we’ve added a gorgeous swirl effect for the Test Flight run. Visuals will vary, with the lower weights being more pronounced. 
We’re also pleased to announce that we’ll have an in-person release on Friday, May 8th at the Tim Selinske US Masters Fly Mart. Climo Disc Golf has partnered with Sun King for this exclusive in-person drop. Ken will be in attendance for the Fly Mart & Player Party from 5-9 to sign your new Coast.
