Introducing the Apogee
The 12 speed Apogee is the first true high-speed distance driver in the Climo Disc Golf lineup. The 8th mold from Climo Disc Golf is set to release to retailers on Monday, September 14th and at ClimoDiscGolf.com on Friday, September 18th. 
What's an Apogee
Apogee is defined as the point at which an object in orbit reaches it's furthest point away. The name was suggested by Ken to honor his father, who was an avionics engineer at Honeywell. Much like Ken, the elder Climo spent a career with his eyes to the sky.
Why High Speed
When asked what he wanted out of his next disc, Climo simply said, "MORE DISTANCE".
The Climo lineup already as the Skyway, which is a speed 11. The Skyway is highly controllable and thrives on hitting “golf lines”. Depending on arm-speed, the Skyway certainly can be the lone higher speed driver in your bag.
There are times where you need something faster, whether to throw farther or navigate a fairway with a low ceiling. The Apogee is going to be the disc you rip on when you need more distance.
Protos vs Test Flights After some tweaking and testing this summer, we are pleased to report that Ken has given the go-ahead to move forward with a slightly modified version of the Test Flight Apogee. Way back on a snowy January weekend at Disc East, the Test Flight Apogee was released in Signature Line plastic. After gathering feedback and testing internally, the consensus was that the Apogee was an absolute bomber, but there were some minor inconsistencies.
Based on internal testing we are estimating the flight numbers to be 12/5/-2/1. For reference, the Skyway flight numbers are 11/5/-1/3. Shop the Skyway and the rest of the Climo Disc Golf lineup here.
